The only thing I miss on Linux is to be able to fill government PDFs.

That’s great but my work uses Office and the PWAs suck ass.
Actually I’d call the Outlook PWA slightly better than the Windows desktop client. But that bar isn’t very high.
I can live with OnlyOffice for the time being, and i know it has ties to Russia or something, but for what i use Office for, its fine.
I don’t get it? Are you upset that business-oriented distros aren’t building for hardware that’s no longer being built?

Their customers are businesses who are almost always running modern hardware. There’s no significant reason to expect them to compile i386 binaries in 2026, because no enterprise customer is using i386…largely because there’s no good reason to, when more capable processors that consume less power are more readily available.
Same thing for x86-64.
Nothing stopping you from compiling from source tho.
Where has anyone except you talked about any expectation to compile for i386? Go away.
