Can concurr, first thing you should do is check logs. Had an issue recently where my system wouldn’t boot. Checked logs, and it was an error with my 580xx kernel headers. Fell back to an earlier snapshot, updated, reinstalled said headers, and got it working.

Also impressive sometimes how far you can get wiah an “[issue] Linux” web search. As someone who’s used AI for troubleshooting before, it’s a last resort. It can sometimes help with pointing you in the right direction, but don’t count on it.

I use CachyOS because I don’t feel like going through the hassle of installing drivers for my 1070ti. The kernel optimizations are nice, tho.

This. I can still play most of the fh3 campaign without an internet connection. Can’t say the same for fh5.

This. I’ve played fh3, 4, and 5. Only changes are visual and a couple new cars. It’s not an awful game, but I’d rather play modded BeamNG.drive.

Interesting. My 1070ti works fine after every update. I switched to CachyOS after it lost mainstream support, so maybe it’s that? Idk. Best of luck figuring that out, though, sounds awful.

CachyOS is built off Arch, a rolling-release distro. RR distros are notoriously unstable, and by design. It does exactly what it says on the tin.

I encountered this problem myself, and it was very stupid and annoying, but I had reason to re-install anyways. That’s the cost of bleeding-edge packages. If you’re unaware/unprepared for it, best not install anything arch-based. That’s why most servers are Debian-based.

I understand the convenience, but I really can’t agree with their privacy policy. “We collect GPS info on an opt-out basis” no thanks.
