No. Everything went to shit in 12 with material 3/material you. It looks so bad. Bring back material 2.
Also of course there’s the whole privacy nightmare that android with Google services is.
Wayland needs stacking window managers that aren’t just KDE and Gnome. I want more things like openbox. There’s labwc but that’s it.
And also Wayland needs more customization programs designed around stacking window managers. Waybar, yambar, and others are all only designed for tiling window managers.
that’s a reason to buy one
This lemmy instance is running on my Pi

I’d go with a live image of whatever distro you’re most familiar with. I usually go with the arch iso or endeavor os if I need a GUI.
You can’t set 2 different DPIs for the monitors on X11. On one monitor everything is just going to be bigger than the other. Depending on the DPI difference it can be basically unusable.
If your monitors are different DPIs then multimonitor X11 is awful.
If you’re questioning why anyone would have monitors with different DPIs remember that laptops exist.
I’m aware plasma has it but I don’t like plasma that much. I’m currently waiting for it to be integrated into other compositors (mainly sway).
Have you tried labwc
I’m not switching on my main laptop until xwayland app scaling is figured out. Either figure out how to make the apps scale properly or just leave them tiny on my screen. None of this stretching them to fit and making them blurry bullshit.
I use it on everything else because all my other computers don’t have high dpi screens.
I use noto fonts for web browsing and general GUI stuff and I use Cascadia Code in the terminal
i wouldn’t say graphene or calyxOS are difficult to setup. The instructions are pretty straight forward.
Don’t you just have to take out the write protect screw or whatever and flash a new bios?
It has all of those though?
None of them
I just ran stress -c 1
on mine to keep the CPU usage above the idle threshold until I did enough stuff on it where that wasn’t necessary anymore
copy and paste it into a text file and stick it in a folder. I encounter an email that is worth archiving approximately once every year or so. Most just get deleted once they serve their purpose.
