Picked these up at a neighborhood market yesterday. I haven’t had a chance to listen to the M83 album yet, and I’m really looking forward to it. I’m not sure if I’ve heard anything from this album before. This is their second album, from 2003, and I only heard about M83 after their 2011 album Hurry Up, We’re Dreaming. I listened to that one over and over, but I’m not sure if I ever listened to any of their earlier stuff.
Also looking forward to the Beastie Boys collection. I like them, but was never really into them, so there are a few songs on there I haven’t heard before.
edit: Oh wow, I hadn’t noticed that Deacon posted Hurry Up, We’re Dreaming just yesterday, that is a huge coincidence. :D
God, I loved that M83 album in college. So good! Their early stuff is more atmospheric and ambient than their later albums. Anthony Gonzalez didn’t realize he could sing until Saturdays=Youth.
