Just found this sub and thought it appropriate to start from the beginning. This was the first album I bought with my own money. Back then it was all about CD’s, but years later i started buying vinyl and one day this one just stood there. To date the most goosebumpsying moment I’ve had buying a record.

Fucking sweet. That NAD receiver looks very similar to mine. I don’t really know for sure but I think mine is from the late 80s. The guy who gifted it to me said it’s purely analog. Any idea when yours was made?

It’s a C356BEE bought brand new in 2010. It’s originally purely analogue, but with an option to install different modules. A couple of years later i had the NAD MDC DAC module installed to get an optical input. What model do you have?

It’s a C340. I can’t say I know much about it, but my friend who is an audiophile hooked me up with it and recommended speakers from Bowers & Wilkins. The system definitely sounds great to my ears!

Googling I see one page claiming the c340 was made in 1998 which I find believable.

Nice! One of my friends has a pair of awesome Bowers & Wilkins tower speakers! I’ve been thinking about getting some, but I’m still hanging on to a pair of Jamo Cornet 75 I refurbished years ago.

Cool. I totally relied on my friend’s expertise to pick them out. He did not disappoint me! They can get insanely loud, not that I can or want to usually crank them like that.
