We want legislation requiring that publicly financed software developed for the public sector be made publicly available under a Free and Open Source Software licence. If it is public money, it should be public code as well.
Code paid by the people should be available to the people!



I’ve often met people from the FSFE at the usual IT centric events in Europe, most recently in Tübingen, Germany at the Digital Freedom Days, but also for example at FOSDEM in Belgium. The FSF itself doesn’t seem to exist here, at least I’ve never encountered them anywhere.
Thanks! Also, FOSDEM is a huge bridge to trust building for me. I think that’s actually sufficient for me. Will root for this project and support it!
