Look, I get it, nerds are happy. This is a big moment. But I am here since 3 years, having been a partial backbone of Lemmy, outside of the devs. WE NEED TO BRING AND CREATE CONTENT HERE, ON ALL INSTANCES. CUT DOWN ON THE META CIRCLEJERK AND BECOME CONSTRUCTIVE. WE ARE NO LONGER ON REDDIT.
I was having a reddit-free Lemmy experience today until I ran into this post. You are only contributing to the problem.
No shit… The only thing I’m seeing is dudes whining about this crap.
Please elaborate, oh wise one. For the past month I am seeing only one thing: refugees circlejerking the impending death of corporate social media. If those platforms are to die, content is first step, and network effect is second.
Then you should watch new communities. I’ve seen plenty other things, I even posted some today!
Maybe you need to sub to more communities. I see a shitton of new content on my feed.

I do see but it does not even look like reddit has competition. Reddit needs to be given competition in terms of content. Out of 20 frontpage posts as example, 3 memes with 5 nice written posts and 12 good article/news links (less of politics) should be maintained. Every instance needs to do this.
Bruh reddit has hundreds of millions of people, lemme barely has a million
Lmfao
Reddit topic is dead… now it is about meta invading fediverse… 😅
My thoughts exactly
Lol just like Reddit: CaN wE sToP <insert rant>
Except this is a call for action to stop meta circlejerking redditor behaviour.
Can we cut down on the bitching about posts about reddit dying? I get it, nerds are angry. But it isn’t a big deal, they have only been here three weeks. *THEY NEED TO HAVE TIME TO GRIEVE, WHICH INCLUDES META CIRCKEJERKS AND SERVE A CONSTRUCTIVE PURPOSE BY LIMITING THE BITCHING MOSTLY TO THOSE POSTS.
I am contributing here reminds me that I need to post new content.
Good, but content is also needed. Everyone needs to contribute something, be it written posts or good quality news/article aggregation (outside of politics BS, we need less of that at this moment).
Reddit’s death is news and it’s particularly salient to the users here. Grow up.
Thread got me wondering how I could find more communities, so I googled and I’m gonna try looking through https://browse.feddit.de/
Try lemmyverse.net, much better.
Thanks for the suggestion, I’ll check it out!
I try to stick to just subscribed feed but there isn’t enough content, so I go to all and every day I see so many posts on the what is going on over at X… Lets focus on what is going on here / and content. If you really must chat about it there are whole communities on the topic.
