Is there any way in firefox to completely remove shorts shelf from youtube? Some extension maybe?

There appear to be a few extensions. Wikihow has a couple of articles about how to block shorts.

Try element picker of ublock origin. It worked for me.
To piggy back on this, there’s also this list you can add to ublock origin https://github.com/gijsdev/ublock-hide-yt-shorts
Using ublock origins works for me.
