    FYIY there’s no harm in wanting to do more, provide more services, etc. But one has to give oneself the means to do so. And growth is always where failure happens. It’s the same as focusing on adding features at the expense of squashing bugs.

    And the same way I have problems with devs who disregard bug hunting and only care about pushing features out, I take issue with companies like LMG who explode in both size and featureset, while totally forgetting to improve processes, increase attention to quality, and put comprehensive feedback systems in place.

    I know Linus doesn’t watch videos, but several of his own employees explicitly said the load of work was incompatible with quality. It doesn’t take a genius to extrapolate from there, so they could easily have.

    This whole situation is essentially Steve giving Linus a hot bomb, being like “careful Bro, you left it unattended and pressure has been building up over months”, and Linus going “meh, you’re paranoid. Look, I’ll even put it in the middle of this bag of Rusty nails and shoot at it with explosive ammo, it’s gonna be just fi…”
