What strikes me as odd is that no other employee at LMG has come out with allegations of this kind of environment. With the number of staff they have right now and even more people who don’t work there anymore, surely someone else would step forward if it was this bad? The crunch and overwork is confirmed of course, but the illegal stuff like sexual harassment and breach of contract seems like it would have multiple people blowing whistles if not filing lawsuits.

It usually takes time to process this kind of shit. That’s why we’re “suddenly” hearing of celebrities doing bad stuff in the 90s or whenever.

One thing is that the person needs to be in a safe position to do it. (Many victims of harassment are still in it). Another thing is personally admitting to it happening at all. (Many victims like to not think about it all.)

Assuming that it is true, she’s actually very quick about it.

What strikes me as odd is that no other employee at LMG has come out with allegations of this kind of environment.

Remember the MeToo movement? Everybody kept mum for decades before one of the victims finally spoke out, and then there was a flood of “me too”s, like an overloaded dam finally giving way.

So, my point is: no other employee at LMG has come out with allegations of this kind of environment yet.

The reason why there haven’t been other reports might be that this is a particular case: It could also be that, since Madison was (clearly, watch the video from before she was employed) totally star struck with Linus, she would also have been very flirty with him; and that was, in turn, misinterpreted by other people (esp some other management apparently) as an invitation for them to treat her like a sexual object (I’m not saying that she ever might have wanted this. I’m saying that many nerds, for some reason, think regular women might want that).
That might be why she was treated like this while others aren’t (assuming they really are, in fact, not). Never the less, not acceptable, you can always fire someone who is making the workplace unsavory by being a tease, you don’t have to be a creep…

Edit: reworded to make it clearer that Madison being potentially flirty with Linus is a theory as to why all this might have happened, and absolutely not a sure fact. Remember, we’re talking about allegations, for now. Nothing is for certain at this point.

Edit 2: downvote away, but Madison was clearly star struck, she also was clearly naive. Mistakes happen, I also put myself, when younger, in situations where I teased people out of naivety. FWIW, the result was fairly similar to what I described above. So whatever, you can refuse to admit this can happen, or you can recognize it might have been the trigger. And to be perfectly clear, none of this shifts the fault away from LMG. Young, inexperienced, starstruck employees, however prime for abuse, are the employer’s absolute and entire responsibility. Sexual (mis)conduct has nothing to do in the workplace (and if you work at legal a sexual provider, misconduct still has nothing to do there).
