Wouldn’t it be better to know for sure that they will have that either disabled or have telemetry as an opt in?
It has been a while since I installed Firefox, which I use daily, but I don’t remember turning on any of the settings under Data Collection in Settings. Did I choose those and just forgot, or where they on and I needed to know to turn them off?

Yes. I will assume that unless it is found to be untrue, because I don’t think making up things to be upset about is productive.
