As somebody who’s been using macOS as a platform for piracy for over 20 years, I assure you it does not make it more difficult in anyway whatsoever. I’m sorry you’re having troubles, but they’re not related to the platform.

It’s been a while since I’ve used Ubuntu. What happened?

I’m really not experiencing that— because there isn’t The Algorithm feeding you Content™, lemmy is more reliant on you subscribing to specific communities and for them to be active. Personally, I’m subscribed to a lot of communities, but, likewise, I get a lot of active content. Im able to, in a satisfactory way, replicate the experience that I had on reddit— minus 99.9% of the toxicity and hostility, of course.
You may simply find that it’s a mater of fine-tuning your experience here, although the platform itself is still improving. I remember Reddit in its early days, and it, too, took time to improve.
the core message of Star Wars has always been antifa. that’s, like, the whole point of the entire franchises, lol
also on Disney+:
That’s why he’s so keen to get Saw Gurrera on board. He knows he’s a provocateur and and extremist that will absolutely get the Empire’s jimmies rustled. Not to mention the whole stealing a quadrant’s-worth of payroll.

while I haven’t seen any official confirmation, I believe that the instance is experiencing a number of DDoS attacks (they confirmed they had been last week). Their serves have been having constant issues and experiencing extended downtime frequently over the last two weeks.
the 18.3 upgrade should help a lot with that. best of luck to them!
both lemmy.ml and lemmy.world have had login issues for the last 2 days-- and 2FA isn’t the issue.
from what little I’ve gathered from various posts and the lemmy matrix chat, both sites were experiencing a massive DDoS attack, and may have disabled logins, however, that doesn’t explain the lack of communication from either team or how long it’s been disabled (almost 2 days).
current session still work, and (at least yesterday) resetting your password was a workaround to log into you account, but if you log out, you can’t log back in again.
this is all I know so far…
don’t worry, X is still horrible
In 1785, the assembly of the Congress of the Confederation made New York City the national capital shortly after the war. New York was the last capital of the U.S. under the Articles of Confederation and the first capital under the Constitution of the United States.
I’ve used Photoshop for 30 years and have never - not once - paid for it.
pay for it, HA!
But just because I have the option of running Photoshop doesn’t mean I’m not allowed to have an opinion on GiMP, lmao. Enough with the gatekeeping.
yeah, having 30 years of Photoshop experience and then being told I have to learn a whole new tool that looks and works completely differently? it took a very long time to become a master of this one tool. now I have to completely re-learn and re-master a new one?
no thanks.
not to mention that GiMP is just a pain in the ass to use.
Davinci Resolve originally ran on SGI and Sun graphic workstations, which ran IRIX and SOLARIS respectively, both System V UNIX-based OSs. It’s pretty cool that they’ve maintained *nix-based support all of these decades.
and piracy has become easier than ever; with the Plex and the *arr suite of apps (plus a VPN), it’s become a completely automated process to create your own, custom streaming server, and for cheaper than paying for several streaming services.
nuke it from orbit. it’s the only way to be sure.
