Replace vim with emacs and it’s actually funny
Compile time schmompile time. Who cares how long it takes to compile. Run time is what matters.
Matlab is also awful about licensing. I took a Matlab class in college and we used gnu octave instead of the real thing. Works just as good, it’s just slightly different syntax.

Do popup window notifications also tile? I have a problem with those sometimes appearing under a window and I never see them.
