Compile time schmompile time. Who cares how long it takes to compile. Run time is what matters.

Matlab is also awful about licensing. I took a Matlab class in college and we used gnu octave instead of the real thing. Works just as good, it’s just slightly different syntax.

Ruby is awesome. Finding out that everything is an object, and because of that you can do things like in your example (10.whatever), is hilarious coming from other languages.

Do popup window notifications also tile? I have a problem with those sometimes appearing under a window and I never see them.
