Yes, NTFS lacks features that surely one of the many Linux filesystems have. But it also has features others do not. There is no one-siize-fits-all filesystem.

• Ext4 is generally faster than NTFS, but cannot handle as large of files
• ZFS has a multitude of features that NTFS does not, like zraid, dedup, etc., but usually at the cost of RAM.
• BTRFS is included in the Linux kernel and also has many features, like being able to conveniently switch hard drive raid-like configurations on the fly with rebalance, but doesn’t support fs-level encryption
• NTFS lacks in many features the others do not, and is a “non-standard” filesystem. However, it’s one of the few with better cross-platform support, more advanced access control, pre-emptive journaling, reparse points, etc.

It seems impossible to buy a dumb TV now adays. The second best thing is to just opt out of the smart TV features of your TV, then buy yourself a reputable android TV box.

My main PC is my first ever Intel NUC and I just bought it a couple months ago. I love it. Sad to see them go.

Btrfs because I’ve had constant issues with zfs in multiple different times.

Everyone praises zfs so I’m sure it’s something I’m missing, but I’ve had very little issue with btrfs, other than it’s incomplete feature set.

That’s typically not what I’ve experienced, and I don’t think I’m outside the norm. In my company there are very little employees who have prestigious degrees who are making 150-200k+. And most of these people aren’t even located in silicon valley or any high cost of living areas. Many IT jobs are still fully remote thanks to COVID.

You are absolutely right that you won’t get those high paying jobs out the gate. It takes time, talent, drive, and being strategic in the skills you choose to develop. It’s not that uncommon.

Tbf, 100k debt for a 4 year CS degree isn’t as common as people on the internet make it seem. Most people do instate tuitions in a state university. They rarely hit that high. At least that was true 5 years ago, perhaps things have changed since then.
