I’ve tried unattended-upgrades once. And I couldn’t get it to work back then. It might be more user friendly now. Or it could just be me.
Love me some old games.

Is there a way to remove having to enter my password for everything?
Wake computer from Screensaver? Password.
Install something? Password.
Updates (biggest one. Updates should in my opinion just work without, because being up to date is important for security reasons)? Password.
I understand sudo needs a password, but all the other stuff I just want off. The frequency is rediculous. I don’t ever leave my house with my computer, and I don’t want to enter a password for my wife everytime she wants to use it.
I agree. Though off-brand batteries can be a good replacement, if you find a reputable brand. I’ve replaced my battery with a bigger capacity off-brand battery, and it’s been working like a charm for 4 years now.
No problem. Good to know that information
If you go web browsing and text editing just get a 2nd hand one. Most laptops can do that. I would just replace the HD with an SSD if it doesn’t have one.
I have an old hp laptop of 12+ years. But hp is a bitch to replace the HDD. So that was an adventure.
It says on the github page that it works for both lemmy-Ui and Mlmym.
As expected most in !dosgaming@retrolemmy.com since I moderate it.
Unfortunately the link is dead.
I’ve always wanted that too. Don’t worry, there are dozens of us. I used to DJ for a few SHOUTcast stations back in the day.
Send me a link, I’d be happy to check it out!
Microsoft Edge is integrated with File Explorer in Windows 10 through a feature called “Pick up where you left off”. This feature allows users to resume their browsing session from Microsoft Edge directly within File Explorer.
Considering software support period is over I don’t think it’s worth the hassle of getting the back off. The oneplus security update period is also abysmal.
I looked up how to get the back off.
Also a reason I’m contemplating the fairphone 5. Just pull off the back and a few screws later it’s pretty much done. I don’t want to mess with a heat gun to open up my phone.
Thanks, I have a oneplus 7T and I have been cleaning it. It’s just very loose now. Been scraping the harder to clean parts with a toothpick, and the rest with a toothbrush. It just isn’t working for me. Might have to try a needle now.
I have replaced a micro usb port on an old phone before. But because it’s hard soldered it takes a lot of effort and time. I wouldn’t want to try that with usb c because it has way more leads.
I’m contemplating getting the fairphone 5. The usb c port on my last few phones were getting very loose at the end of the use. Making it a hassle using it in my car. One steep curve, and the phone slides making the connection get loose.
If I get the fairphone 5 I will immediately get a USB c replacement for future proofing.
It’s annoying charging my phone at night and waking up to an almost empty phone because the cable got loose when I set it on my bedside table.
Reading comics.
Not sure. But he does have a down arrow imprint on his forehead.
