Yeah my server is loud af so I moved it to the basement. Easiest way to grt internet down there was through existing coax. Got full 2.5gbe through it

My isp does t even support ipv6
5950x in an matx board with 15 x 3.5in drives 1 x sata sad 1 x optane u.2 drive (pulls like 10watts) 1 x Nvidia A2000 1 x Lsi 9305 16i 1 x 2.5gbe intel nic 3 x 140 mm fans at full tilt
Runs at like 120 watts at idle, like 220 watts with a good amount of work and peaks at like 320 watts if I make it do a lot of work
Firef
Yeah whatever I’m doing is bad, 5800x in 65w eco mode and asrock pro4m “idles”(all hdds spun down) at like 150watts. I run like 20 dockers on it so I don’t think it ever really idles
Completely different kind of service, the debrid services let you stream media. The arrs are so you can download and store media. I think it’s overall more convenient to just have a premiumize or Real-Debrid subscription so you don’t have to buy hard drives and keep a server running
I didn’t even notice the app was sluggish, but this is still great news!
I run the steam headless docker, using dockers you don’t have to pass through a gpu so Jellyfin can still use it for transcoding aswell. Or like you said you can go the other way and put them both in a vm
Damn 10watts? My server has a 5800x in it(my old cpu) and I have never seen the system pull less than 130watts
Yeah my 82 TB is almost full, not looking forward to buying more drives…
Oh awesome, I recently switched my bedroom tv to a roku and have not been enjoying it, this seems like a major improvement.
I moved my shield tv to the living room for surround sound reasons
My ISP doesn’t even support IPv6
I have been using Kodi and real-debrid on all of my devices for like 6+ years. I recently tried Stremio and it is a much more streamlined experience for this use case.
Only complaint about the debrid services is what is available depends on what other users added to the service already. So most of the Anime I watch isn’t easily available through it. So I have a self hosted solution to acquire anime. Everything else is very accessible with less effort then torrenting or usenet.
Oh Postal 4 is a thing. Maybe ill buy that
Basically just an easier way to get a tunnel into your server, instead of having to configure a reverse proxy or manage certs. I just have the cloud flared docker installed, then on their site under the tunnels section I just assign whatever domains or subdomains to all my services via a local ip address. Im doing a couple things that definitely break TOS lol. But imma let it ride till they stop me then I guess I’ll switch to a reverse proxy
Some version of kubuntu on some kind of hardware around 2001, it was a PC my parents built for windows 98
Or maybe a different distro but it had kde
Linux still doesn’t play nice with nvidia right? Last time I tried to daily drive it I had many issues with my dual monitor setup, where each monitor is a different resolution refresh rate and has gsync.
Has Wayland caught up to WDDM? Microsoft has been steadily improving multi monitor rendering, and this is the only reason I haven’t switch yet
I use two private trackers, all other torrents I funnel through real debrid so I get ddl speeds, also have usenet setup
Same, freakin love shoko, anime is very annoying to organize otherwise
Same been using computers my whole life so self hosting was just gonna be apart of it.
