Voyager@lemmy.world•[piefed] blocks propagation quirks to Voyager UI?English
3·4 months agoActually previously all I had done was import my blocks from this lemmy account. Hadn’t actually blocked someone the normal way.

Voyager@lemmy.world•[piefed] blocks propagation quirks to Voyager UI?English
3·4 months agoWait!
All the sudden now they do?? I wonder why?
Maybe it takes a couple hours to propagate?

Voyager@lemmy.world•[piefed] blocks propagation quirks to Voyager UI?English
3·4 months agoLets test this. I’ll block you on my piefed ui and see if I can see you on the voyager one logged into the piefed account.
(will unblock after obviously)

Selfhosted@lemmy.world•How to combat large amounts of Ai scrapersEnglish
2·4 months agoI’ve had trouble with it using a vpn and privacy browsers. It often blocks me until I use a default browser.

8·5 months agoTIL “damn” is an insult.
I thought it was just an intensifier.
I’m embarrassed by how long it took me to see an issue.

Piracy@lemm.ee•Does anyone have a site where they steam animated shows?English
4·5 months agoYou’re gonna want to check the community !piracy@lemmy.dbzer0.com. Which has a megathread with dozens of good streaming sites.
That community can’t be accessed from lemmy.world (where you are), so you’d have to make an account on literally any other lemmy instance.

Voyager@lemmy.world•Markdown autocomplete of community-links opens Piefed links in browserEnglish
2·5 months agoAnd just in general piefed links to posts or comments that would open via app if they were lemmy based links open in browser.
(Even though these links are accessible because the piefed instance is federated)

Selfhosted@lemmy.world•Plex now want to SELL your personal dataEnglish
2·5 months agoJellyfin is basically as easy to use as plex within the same network. I’ve set up both dueing the past 6 months. The only big difference is that Jellyfin is much more of a pain to work through port forwarding.
They shut down another service as well. Google has lost a lawsuit saying it cant pay mozilla for the priviledge of being automatic search engine. That deal was literally half of mozilla’s revenue.
I posted a meme about this on my alt a long time ago hahah. https://lemmy.world/post/18412991
Mozilla now poor because google stopped paying them.
Noooooo. That’s probably worse than it just shutting down right?

Voyager@lemmy.world•Is there anything similar to Custom Feeds from reddit available on Voyager?English
5·7 months agoI used to do it. But it’s a bit too much of a hassle. Personally I only subscribe to small and midsized communities, and also scroll “all” while blocking any comms I don’t like, because I know the large comms I like will then end up on my all feed.

Yes the instance was migrated. But that’s been a bit ago and everything works smooth on the piefed ui.
