Can we stop calling these glorified chat bots “AI” now?
Can we stop calling these glorified chat bots “AI” now?
Reading this hurt me.
I mean current version really doesn’t mean anything because people aren’t going to upgrade if the version they’re using is fine. I submit that this is a perfect example of correlation != causation. I may have gotten the order wrong on the not equal symbology since I haven’t used it in a while.
Also, are we talking Linux kernal versions? There are so many problems with this comparison.
As someone who probably has undiagnosed ADHD/neurodivergence (based off first hand accounts from other people) I will agree.
I will say this, and some may consider this my hot take; I feel like Linus needs to step back from responding to community feedback as well. I get that it’s his company and he probably feels responsibility to respond, but he does not respond well to criticism. The biggest tell on how his employees feel was Luke’s face during the video. It was obvious even without him saying anything that he knew the hot take response was not going to turn out well. These situations are part of being a CEO not an owner and Linus needs to show that he trusts the new CEO enough to respond accordingly. Linus continues to handle this problem in the exact wrong manner when he shouldn’t be handling it at all m
I hate when I accidentally “communicate with enemy state like north korea, syria, iraq, iran” .
That’s pretty cool. I’ll give it a try.
Don’t get me wrong, I love the telephoto lens, but I have a strong feeling I would sacrifice the extra lens for a smaller screen. Then again I do watch a lot of videos so who knows. I think the biggest problem is there isn’t really a way to test the two side by side to see.
I’ll have to try to remember to check that. There is a chance I’m going on old info.
Then you’re shitty American ISP throttle you for too many downloads. Fuck I hate Comcast, and no they are not fooling anyone changing their name to Xfinity.
It’s, unfortunately, a Pixel problem. The Tensor G2 is notoriously bad with battery life, and the fact that every manufacturer thinks we want paper thin phones doesn’t help.
I feel like Google really hit their stride with the Pixel 6/7 series. The 7 series especially is just such a nice phone to use and doesn’t feel as cheap as previous iterations of the Pixel. It’s also great value for the money. I went with the Pro and would recommend against it honestly, because while I like the extra camera and the bigger screen it really doesn’t fit great in the average persons hand and the features don’t really justify the cost. If I had to do it over again I would get the 7 or 7a.
Here’s the thing, while I don’t think Nazi views should be supported this is a general instance and as such there are going to be a lot of shitty people here, Nazi’s included. The strength of the fediverse is that we can make our own instance “with blackjack and hookers” so to speak. There are already instances, in fact, that are a lot more strict in who they allow. Again, this is not a support for these views as I don’t support hate for anyone. It’s the paradox of tolerance dictates that the intolerant will eventually take over, which is why we cannot be tolerant of fascism, hate, Nazi’s, etc.
I wouldn’t quite go so far as to say it’s gone “mainstream” since you still have to be moderately nerdy to know about it. I get your point though. This is one of the reasons I am so happy the Steam Deck exists. Before Valve released the Steam Deck nobody wanted to make games for Linux, so Valve said “fuck it, we’ll do it ourselves” and proved it was not only possible, but a better experience overall. While not all games work, having 78-80% of your game library work on Linux, with no Windows OS performance tax, is a great experience. Even with the Proton compatibility layer games generally run faster than on Windows.
