isn’t that supposed to be based on nextstep which is also what osx is based on?

just use zorin. its made to be easy and with loads out of the box and look like windows.
yeah I have literally had something where I list off a bunch of problmatic stuff and how it could be some high side and then follow up or everything could go swimmingly which never happens and we could have this low side and they are like ok so the low side. no. no. that is not what im saying.
this is my number one thing I hate. So we are going to be converting over one system to another and you have no ideas what issues will pop up. give an estimation on the project. or like estimation onf fixing a bug or doing something you think the software can do but your not real sure till you look into it.
I like that and am going to steal it.
as my pay has gone down relative to inflation the amount of fucks I give goes down.
before 2010 when a suse disk was put into a laptop and installed and the network card and everything worked just fine no tweaking.
I mean it was the start of a database system over a text files system and sorta feels unix went the way of the database.
zorin seems to be doing fine.
nice to know these type of things are still happening. I remember sites where going to use them then it seemed to fall off.
I almost never put why. this cycles though hostnames and parses out blah blah blah. I guess I assume the why is self evident.
So far my experience with ai is it cannot evaluate the quality of the data it uses to any significant degree. As such it can summarize which is convenient for searching and give examples but ultimately you have to correct its mistakes and know enough to do so. There is some savings for a programmer in the sense you might be able to get some rough scaffolding and its a bit eaiser to identify relevant search links but I don’t see it replacing developers. It definitely allows one to do more though or even increase the quality. One really great thing it can do is auto commenting of the code which does not need as much improvement as actual code and makes it more likely for you to do the task (both because it does it and because it causes you to go. no don’t explain it like that). Is similarly helps with documentation. I doubt it could more than double productivity though. At least as how it stands now. Im not sure it can do much better without becoming general ai.
oh I use edge at work to but I sorta don’t count that. Its like if I drove a bus for a living and my home car was a prius and someone asked me what I drive I would say prius and not like bus or a bus and a prius.
I mean I bet many people I know use edge as its the default in windows but like my wife and I and most tech people I know use firefox.
I don’t know anything about the sub but usually agnostic ones where bigger on engaging in religious discussion just like most islam subs or christian subs don’t really want to debate what religion is correct. Its a made up mind. I used to be very agnostic and was more into debating but now im very athiest and im no longer really searching in regards to the metaphysical because I have made up my mind its not a thing and its not as fun as debating if doctor strange could beat doctor fate in a fight.
I didn’t but it was the early nineties and honestly I did not even realize the command line was unix on machines vs dos. I just thought I was messing up the terms or it was just a variant system. I did not realize all dos was the same.
I mean thats great but finding the notes is always a chore to because so much has been done between now and then and there are a lot of stuff done with their own notes. We are actually required to document in like 3 different ways although we don’t need to do all 3 all the time. informal, formal internal, formal customer.
admittedly better solution
my friend. you need to learn the scotty method.
ouch. this hits to close.
