How dare you, Hammond is a kind old man with a dream! (and in the book he dies a pathetic death after everything’s already mostly resolved)

limit voting to communities someone is subscribed to
That sounds great. Might also protect against people upvoting posts that don’t actually fit the community
I know lemmings.world has a bot that subscribes to the most popular communities to make sure those are federated
Peertube is bigger than I thought!
Math.Sqrt((x-y) * (x-y))
(I’ve actually seen someone use this)

Hi a republican, I’m dad
… an optional feature where it only lets you browse for X minutes a day would be awesome
Lemmy.world defederated from that instance though. It also had a problem with trolls spamming actual CSAM to try and get it shut down
I don’t really see any hint of the poster being from the latter group though
CSAM isn’t tagged as NSFW, because it’s trolls (criminals) posting it. I think the admins have been pretty on the ball with removing it though
Also, importing/exporting user data will make it easier to transfer your account to a different instance. I’m mostly excited for scaled ranking though.
Similar options for defederating would also be nice, like “disallow users from this instance from posting/commenting in your communities” vs “do not fetch communities from this instance”. There may be some higher-priority things though.
The final bit is interesting. Vaxry says Q (who was openly bigoted) got punished, but doesn’t mention prisj (who was slightly less open about it).

does indeed sometimes have jokes that some people might treat as “controversial”.
And if you really need a place with controversial jokes, split it off from your support server or something.
Brainfuck: it’s technically an essay, but who in their right mind would write it using only the first eight letters of the alphabet?
Is there any post about some fine for a tech company where this isn’t the top comment?
Not allowing people to vote on posts from All - yes please! There’s so many cases of subreddits losing their identity because they started showing up on Reddit’s All.
