I miss writing in clojure. I never have a reason to write in a functional language at work

.net from core 2 was awesome. From 5 onwards it’s been beyond amazing!
This would be great
Please don’t be one of them Devs that does everything on discord. It’s awful for knowledge. You’ll just get people asking the same questions because you don’t have an FAQ or a wiki, or even a forum elsewhere that’s easily searchable.
Fine on my jelly star Android 12
I’ve probably completely misremembered it and maybe learned of it the same time i learned about and installed powertoys. My bad.
The waiting around for others conversations are always wild and funny. They’re worth the awkward moments waiting alone.
I’m currently not on my windows pc at the moment but it could be that it’s functionality might actually be native to win 11? I don’t realise use it myself I just remember seeing it when originally getting powertoys and thinking that was cool
Oh, I don’t know which way around it is then actually. I’ve not subscribed before, but a colleague does so it’s possible I’ve misheard or misinterpreted what he said
Jet brains does still let you keep the last used version when you unsubscribe
There is for windows, and it’s further improved if you get power toys too
If you don’t understand much about AI models, how they work, how to install/use them and unable to recover all of the specific jargon that comes with the field…
That site is very useful but it’s not a great starting point, it is not useful in the terms of understanding everything beyond just diving in the deep end and troubleshooting via external help forums like stack overflow regularly to figure it out.
Go to the website and you’ll likely be the caveman
That’s how I feel with Photoshop. I grew up with fireworks and still to this day I miss the workflow fireworks allowed. I’ve never found an exact replacement for it. It was easier for me to completely soft too a new paradigm and use inkscape, than it was to use Photoshop. I’ve not tried krita yet though but I’m less of a “drawer”, at least at the moment anyway.
Yeah I hate that it seems now you have to pay a premium to NOT have RGB
I stray away from it as much as possible
I already get paid more than the three directors, we’re a small company with very little money at the moment, and under threat of going under. They want to pay me more. It’s just if they did, the company goes under next month instead of a few months down the line if no new clients come to the table and actually commit to working with us.
Oh yeah, I’m severely underpaid in my current job, even for where I live and what my role is. But I’m happy with my bosses and my colleagues. They’ve got my back more than not and I can be happy knowing I’m not in a hostile work environment. They are my genuine friends. Also helps that I enjoy the work I do. It’s not going to be my forever job but I’m savoring it while i can before I move on.
Yeah I guess it’s more that the general office world bleeds into the dev world
I’m a senior in the north east and I’m on 32k. But cost of living and houses are sooooo much cheaper here. I am not scraping by, I’m doing good.
Didn’t say it was the best practice, but it is a practice
