That’s a weird issue. Do you have encryption on by any chance? I had a similar error pop-up when I didn’t have the correct systems hooks for the kernel so that after install update of kernel would make the system not boot.

PWAs are not an issue but hardware acceleration is pretty broken on Wayland and Nvidia combo.
It’s specific to Jellyfin Media Player which is a client for Linux built using electron and mpv.
I mean jmp let’s you use only the integrated player or cast to mpv shim.
I can play the files with mpv, vlc or Kodi without issues but I would like to use something like plex/jellyfin for all the other capabilities they offer like playback position syncing and so on.
It’s kind of mild here but very noticeable in really dark parts of the scene. Makes a lot of stuff pretty bad.
Direct playing. It’s such a drastic difference, there’s no banding in Android devices I have, only on my Linux system.
Of course, if they went head to head, both cloudflare and Google would have the resources to fight back while quad9 is just a non-profit.
That’s transmission. My mistake, I somehow got the wrong impression that you had a working transmission set up before.
Glad to hear that everything is resolved :)
Where are you sending from? Home computer? Home computer with VPN? Seedbox? The answer will change based on which.
An easy hack might be to look at your transmission settings, find the port it uses and just copy that into qbittorrent settings.
That is really cool :) I use sideberry which is similarish but more oriented towards tab management.
Jenora crashes every few minutes or lesser after the update. practically unusable right now
It is one of the few tools that doesn’t misrepresent the core git paradigm.
Real debrid with streamIO is the most painless option I have setup. My parents love using it and have stopped using everything else. You just need to remember to renew your subscription once you have set it up :) I get 4K releases for most of the things I watch, with no searching needed.
Hey person :) First of all I get your frustrations. Hopefully you can figure this out!
Have you verified that the card is working outside of Plex, i.e. using glxspheres/gears and other tests?
Can you verify using the nvidia-smi command if Plex is using the card;
On your local network (TV/Shield) make sure you’re accessing Plex by IP address and that IP is in the remote access list in Plex server settings. If you use fqdn or reverse proxy url Plex will (infuriatingly) assume that you’re accessing stuff remotely and slow down.
In my own experience, after facing similar issues, I spun up jellyfin using their HW acceleration wiki instructions and left both running. My family seems to find it more problem free than Plex. I still have Plex but only use it rarely for few things that jellyfin doesn’t support.
The thought that Debian will continue into the future feels comforting. How cool it would be if in 5000AD kids on Mars or Europa are running Debian 100?
Great move :)
I used to love the debian community on reddit. I use arch on desktop and debian on servers, however the arch community was a mixture of few really smart people and lots of angry people.
Loved how in the debian sub everyone was quiet and helpful without making a fuss. It felt like a really friendly community.
I’ll chip in wherever I can too in helping people out.
Hey! Thank you for calling out what they said. I had decided to not respond given that I felt I couldn’t really engage in a dialogue after reading that.
Hey, thank you for responding to the above comment. It is a topic close to me and seeing how the response indicated they hadn’t really heard anything I had to say, I felt like I couldn’t really reply at that point except to fight and I wasn’t in a place to do that.
Still might be worth it to check that you’re not missing any kernel modules.
