Bethesda is still pretty good at allowing people to mod their games. I hope this continues into the future
Don’t be so hard on yourself :) Other people might have the same inclination as you Hashing out the details in the comments almost always helps with clarity
Isn’t that exactly what the guy I responded to was requesting info about? The good open sourcing the ID engine did?
Correct me if I’m wrong, but weren’t the original Half-Life based on this engine?
So, Counter-Strike wouldn’t have existed in this form, and DOTA 2 wouldn’t have been made in the engine it was.
Conversely, Warcraft 3 also had a modding scene where DOTA sprung from.
So, probably a lot of Valve’s games wouldn’t have seen the light of day, and they wouldn’t have had the capital to make Steam.
Does your Connect app also appear blue in light mode?
For me, the light mode of Connect seems nothing like the app, on the Play store
I’ll second wefwef
It’s the best of the bunch right now
Still looking forward to Sync!
Probably because you’re pressing a link to a post of another instance, but it resolves to your instance instead.
Meaning that, you’ll be shown a post with the same ID on your own instance - where you should have been shown the post with the ID of another instance.
Either you’re using an app, and it hasn’t accounted for this yet - or the person who made the link didn’t format it correctly are my best guesses.
Either one community will become big and the other small.
Or, the two communities will start going into niches (like, one being more focused on movies and the other games)
And seeing as you can subscribe to both, I assume that these communities will assist each other.
The strength of federation is that you have no “one-true-community” anymore. If one gets sick (I.e. Reddit) you have other safe havens to take over
Out of the accounts you choose to be your main, don’t use Beehaw.org - they’ve unconnected from the rest of the instances
Old soul :)
