Yeah it’s cause I just switched domains. Bad timing; sorry about that. It may take up to 12-24 hours for all DNS servers to update and correctly point to the website.
EDIT: Should be working now. (At least it is on my end)

Thanks for your interest! If you want to be a DJ, click Join at the top right of the page, No experience or equipment necessary (unless of course you already have either).
And no sign up necessary if you just want to suggest a tune for rotation. Just click “Suggest” at the top.

I will once I work up the courage, lol. Plan on making a post about it too once I’m ready to launch. (Still not sure which community would be appropriate to make such a post. There isn’t exactly an active community of DJs on Lemmy, at least not any I could find…)
If you don’t get a DM in a few hours, check back again tomorrow.
I feel this. I’ve been dreaming of running my own internet radio station ever since SHOUTcast first came out. Well it only took 25 years but I finally made it happen, yet I’m too scared to promote it cause I’m afraid that no one will want to join on as a DJ or even tune in. So here I sit, paying for the server space every month for nothing, lying to myself that this’ll finally be the day that I release it to the public…
Edit: Thanks for your interest, everyone! Okay here’s the link:

BTW I’ll need DJs, and curators to suggest songs for rotation when no DJ is on. If you want to be a DJ, click Join at the top right of the page, No experience necessary. Use your own software/hardware, or there’s a Web DJ interface you can use if you don’t have any gear. I won’t be on the Discord I made just yet, but I’ll check the website from time to time for applications.

Lastly, I’m a DJ myself so if this station takes off, expect regular 3-5 hour sessions from me!
So, strictly speaking: yes, almost any computer that was ever capable of running Linux should still be capable of running the newest kernel version, with the sole exception of 386s.
So the 286 and 8086 are still compatible, then? :P
What about chips from other ancient architectures? Can I run the latest version of Linux on a 6502?
Are you able to guarantee that your email service will still be around a year from now? Or five years from now? Or twenty?
Not trying to hate, just want to make sure before I create an account and start using your service for literally everything. If you one day decide to shut down and I lose access to my primary email address, I’m screwed.
I haven’t been in web development in over 20 years; thanks to ChatGPT, I was able to get up-to-speed and start building websites again, when in the past I would have never been able to do so.
GPT is a powerful tool that can allow anyone to do anything if they’re willing to put in the effort. We should be praising it, not making fun of it. It’s as revolutionary as the internet itself.
Why would you need to “pair” something that’s over the web? Just log into your Google account and view the messages through Hangouts. Last I checked, it still works.
Since when did you need to scan a QR code to read your text messages on a desktop? I’ve never had to do anything like that.
If it doesn’t have Gigabit ports (minimum), it’s useless. Judging by that USB 1.1 port, I wouldn’t hold my breath.

Notepad++, because I’m dumb and only know HTML. (That counts as programming, right?)
Because people are assholes
Oh I thought it was a bed bug.
(Worst infestation you can get ever, BTW. You can be the cleanest person in the world and still get them since they only want blood. It took two moves and putting everything I owned into an outdoor storage for a summer to finally get rid of them. Fucking bastards.)
I wish lol. I’m unemployed and could use the money.
IDK cause I use Adguard DNS and the DDG app. I never see ads anywhere
