Why? Cause they went on voyages?

TweakUAC solved that problem.
Meh, you just needed a discrete GPU, and not even a good one either. Just a basic, bare-bones card with 128MB of VRAM and pixel shader 2.0 support would have sufficed, but sadly most users didn’t even have that back in 06-08.
It was mostly the consumer’s fault for buying cheap garbage laptops with trash-tier iGPUs in them, and the manufacturer’s for slapping a “compatible with Vista” sticker on them and pushing those shitboxes on consumers. If you had a half-decent $700-800 PC then, Vista ran like a dream.
You have to pay to unlock heroes, many of which can improve your performance once you find one that best matches your playstyle. I consider that P2W.
Yes* unfortunately. It’s very popular.
I’ll never understand why people enjoy P2W games.
I’m fine with that so long as I eventually get to play PC games on my phone.
Firefox has PiP? Last time I saw that feature, it was the 90s and it was on a TV.
This is why we shouldn’t ban Critical Race Theory.
The people who invented C++ never went outside, otherwise they would have never invented C++.
I would love nothing more than for a piece of software to be “finished”, like the old days. This is why I don’t play mobile games, cause every time I want to kill five minutes while waiting in a line or something, I first have to download a 1GB+ update that will take an hour to download on my shitty prepaid line.
“He”? I thought it was a brand of headphones lol
One thing that stopped me from switching was the lack of the Nvidia Control Panel. The alternative “X Server” app is missing several must-have features, most importantly being the 3D Settings page (where all the extra graphics settings that aren’t available in-game are) and the Video settings page where you can toggle AI upscaling and SDR to HDR conversion on and off.
Did you by any chance figure out how to get the Nvidia Control Panel working in Linux? I tried for weeks before giving up and going back to windows.
I’m not a programmer.
I used to think that I’d be glued to my PC forever, but ever since getting a foldable I’ve found that I’m no longer reliant on computers anymore for daily tasks. Plus there’s no point in eating up 300w of electricity during the summer (according to my watt meter), just to watch YouTube.
These days the only time I boot my PC is to play a game, search for a job, or make a large purchase. I’m a MilleniaI, so big purchases have to be done on the big computer. The phone is more than adequate for everything else. It’s not the 2010s anymore; phone screens are finally large enough now to replace a PC, and there’s an Android equivalent for almost everything a computer can do.
Where’s the blue graph? You linked to a homepage of some website.
Man, even when I try to be diplomatic I still get berated.
Should have just said fuck you and called it a day. (kidding)
By “zip file”, I meant a compressed archive. I’m not as nerdy as you guys are so I see now that there is a difference. I appreciate the correction.
That said, you have to admit that it’s still cool that these different file formats are nothing more than archives. Maybe not to you but it blew my mind when I first learned this.
Well fair enough. You clearly have more knowledge on the subject than I do.
FWIW, by “zip file”, I meant that the file is a compressed archive. Apologies for implying a specific file format. That wasn’t my intention.
You could always download a random exe even in Linux, you know. But I’ll handle it. Commuting home now.
Oh okay, like that feature I used to use in RES for reddit to label who the assholes were.
