I honestly don’t care about the opinions of people using Threads. I’d rather only see posts and comments from people who actively joined the fediverse, not blindly following social media. So my first choice would be blocked.

You hit the nail right on its head! It’s pretty bad that there is no skip all option, and for some of them you have to manually uncheck before continuing.
I’m in the same situation as you where I often work on fresh virtual machines, and so I see this a lot too.
The performance is pretty on-par with other major browsers now, but it is the obscene amount of popups built into the browser that irritates me.
I used to write on Medium before, but I switched to dev.to because it was more friendly to readers.
I came across a similar pricing model for Prodigy, and it does seem like a sensible option. You pay for updates, but will always be able to use the versions you already have in perpetuity.
