I had my Minecraft server on Ubuntu and I hated it and switched to Mint. Ubuntu felt like it lagged for some reason.

My issue was definitely with my GPU. I’ll look into the logs now that I know how to do it next time. It really has taken me too long to get into Linux.

No, sorry that was confusing. I first used Mint on my desktop after liking it on my work laptop. It worked alright, then I went to Ubuntu and hated it so tbh I didn’t even finish messing with it I just installed Arch over it. I really like arch, but I can’t get my games running on it. I have a few bookmarked comments with helpful advice that I need to try when I get the will to destroy my free time again.

I see mostly Tumbleweed on protondb. I myself am on my 4th attempted transition and keep borking my system. So take my input with a bucket of salt but its making me think of trying it.

Am I missing something? It looks like OP has to track their time and send it to a client or superior. What is wrong with making a tool to track your time over using excel? I’m sure if they wanted it through a specific end point they would have provided that.

Get a grip. You are too emotionally invested. You can fork the project right now and ask nothing of the original dev. So maybe follow your own philosophy and leave HA alone. It sounds like you want this to work on NixOS but dont want to maintain a fork.

Thats actually exactly how I set it up the first time ahead of time. I followed another guide and had set it to force the use of the newest version of proton, thats when I tried all of those games. I’ll have to install arch and try it again and let you know. If my memory serves me well enough to come back here.

That may be a while for me. But I will try to remember to swi g back around here and comment in like, a month or two lol whenever Recall is about to hit. I will admit, I tried to launch Sea of Thieves, Elden Ring, Cassette Beasts, and the Master Chief Collection, all which have really great scores on protondb. I chalked it up to inexperience at the time but I’ll run these log commands.

I tried running i3, using the arch wiki for the nvidia package. It suggested just the ‘nvidia’ package for a 2080 TI. Launched steam with proton (forget the newest version at the time it was like last month). Nothing would happen when launching any game. Probably doing a lot wrong or something, sorry if this isn’t enough info. I did no logging.

Is it that much better to have a Desktoo Environment, on my desktop computer? I’m still halving it with Windows trying to get my games to run on arch lol

They dont even know about it. I just got Firefox approved like a year or two ago. I just have bigger fish to fry than another browser my users didn’t ask for.

I can’t install Librewolf as the main browser in my work environment. Firefox is fine for everyone at my work.

I remember having to disable it in my existing installation. But I also could be imagining things.

I installed Firefox on two laptops today, it seemed to be disabled by default.

Idk I run my own PO3 server on Java and everything but the launcher is fine. I’m sure Bedrock is completely molested though.
