Didn’t know if it was supported but this clears it up. Thanks.
Do I have to use PC receiver or is that unnecessary?
HOLY SHIT! YES! Thank you so much! I thought that drive was a goner. I was on the verge of just buying a new SSD. You just saved me a couple hundred bucks. Thank you once again!
I went ahead tried this but got an error when using makepkg -si
:/home/[username]/ntfsprogs-ntfs3/PKGBUILD: line 45: autoreconf: command not found
==> ERROR: A failure occurred in build().
Aborting...
I went to file in question and line 45 says this: autoreconf -vfi
That’s the thing: I don’t have Windows installed on that SSD. I double checked.
This fiasco demonstrates why open source is the superior software model.
We need more devices like this. Will definitely pick this up.
Having something that doesn’t connect to the internet makes for a better device in the long run. Plus, as others have mentioned, less distractions.
Of course. Just remember this when buying a laptop (and by extension a printer): FUCK HP!
While I’m yet to do it myself, I would suggest getting a Thinkpad T480 and upgrading its RAM. The reason you want a T480 is because it was the last Thinkpad to have user removable parts. One tip: when using eBay, make sure you filter out the T480s. The T480s is not the same as the T480 since it doesn’t have user removable parts.
I’ve been wanting a Framework so bad. When I start working again (which should be soon), I’m going to save up for one.
The shit you must see on a daily basis. I hope everything is going well for you.
In the first forum post, the user having the same problem as I didn’t have base-devel installed and presumably neither did I. I go to intall and it returns this error:
archlinuxfr.db failed to download error: failed retrieving file 'archlinuxfr.db' from repo.archlinux.fr : The requested URL returned error: 404 error: failed to synchronize all databases (failed to retrieve some files)
The second forum suggest that I have to compile ZMusic. I do that and get this error:

Tried it. Everything was good until it returned a couple of errors.
First:
CMake Error at /usr/share/cmake/Modules/FindPackageHandleStandardArgs.cmake:230 (message):

Call Stack (most recent call first):

-- Configuring incomplete, errors occurred!
==> ERROR: A failure occurred in build().

-> Failed to install layer, rolling up to next layer.error:error making: zmusic - exit status 4
Second: Same as the first one
Third:

Although I doubt this method will work today but what I used to do was google the band and wait until I found a link discussing the band on Stormfront, an old neo-Nazi forum. It was huge (by extremist standards) in the 2000s but it’s barely active these days.
I was thinking the same until @Rikj000 responded to my comment. The defeat of the surveillance state (both private and government) relies on us.
True. I think I’ll switch to Arch proper soon.
