Whoa, I don’t know why I’ve never considered Linux on a tablet. I have a couple that are gathering dust in a closet, and if this is doable, it sounds like a fun project!

This user is just the latest in a series of spammers since Lemmy has grown in popularity. It’s hard to tell if they have some vendetta against the platform or are just maladjusted and want to annoy people having a good time.

As someone who posts across Lemmy a lot, I am usually made aware of the spammers almost immediately, because my inbox will be full of the same spam comment replies all at once. I just report them up to the various instances when I see it.

That sounds difficult.

You know, I bet a software engineer could write up something to help with it!

Almost gave me a heart attack for a brief moment with that title. I use this app so damn much.

If I had seen it posted, I would have held off. I’m not subbed to every community on this instance if you saw it somewhere else.

So, from memory there has been:

• This recent attack
• Regular DDOS attacks
• Frequent attempts to spam community creation
• That one time the instance got hacked and set to redirect to shock sites

Am I missing anything?

This seems like more than just a few trolls. Maybe someone really doesn’t want to see user-owned social media take off.
