In case you were wondering, I got everything working. Was a permission issue it appears. Thought I did have some wonky names in some of the files that I fixed too. Thanks for the suggestion.
Permissions seamed to be the issue. Everything is working, all be it, a bit slower then plex used to. But least it’s working.
I’ll have to look into Emby’s folder structure and see if it is different then how I’ve got things setup. But my collection is organized by Folder, so for example.
E:\Star Trek Movies\Star Trek II - The Wrath of Kahn (1982).mkv
Then TV series are the same, but with folders for each season on a main Show folder.
I only use IPTorrents (private tracker) so when I download the wrong thing, I have to either leave it on my seeebox until I reach 2 weeks or a 2to1 Ratio. But I’ve been using IPT for so long I have over 200K points and something like 120TB of credit. So I can just delete it if I wanted to and then use the points or bandwidth to remove the strike. I have done so a few times, but not usually though.
Not really, but they are extremely affordable.
They announced a couple weeks ago that they would be blocking Hetzner hosting.

Plex recently blacklisted one of the best hosting companies in the world, so strongly suggest using Jellyfin instead if you go that route.
Well, good luck, and I hope if you try it out, Hetzner works out for you as well as it has for me.
99% of stuff worked fine, but when I had issues it was a random error about server being under powered which wasn’t true at all lol. Someone on a forum suggested using the official windows app from the store and once I moved to that for client side access, never got the error again.
Keep in mind though, if you plan to do Plex from Hetzner, after Oct 2nd it won’t work anymore. But others here have suggested JellyFin instead. I’ll be testing that out this weekend, and if all is good moving over from Plex all together.
Oh yeah, would be lower cost over time for sure. For me though, internet is kind of crap in my area and the work server gets a ton of access from coworkers. And my sister in another state watches movies and tv shows on my Plex. Both these server get over 1.2 gbps up and down. There is also no cost if I have a hardware failure. There are pros and cons for sure, like I’ve been wanting to do some stuff that could really benefit from a GPU but not really an option with the auction stuff.
I have 2 servers through Hetzner, both I got from the auction side of the site.
My lower end server is what I use to run my seed box and up till now PLEX. I use the Higher end server to run some work projects and for experimenting with.

I’m inclined to agree with you on this. I have made it a point to remove wishlisted games that were Unity based, at least for now anyway. But yes, I think this is going to more be with the devs to move away from Unity before anything will actually change.
So I have Tabletop Simulator and Planet Crafter, the first of which is way more important to me as I use it to run my weekly D&D game. With hundreds of custom assets, and hours upon hours of scripting to make it work how I want. Since I’ve already purchased these games and have them installed, is it fair to keep using them?
Check out the auctions, they tend to have some pretty great deals.
Even more so if you check out the auctions they have.
Ultimately, I think that is what I am doing, but figured it wouldn’t hurt to ask someone with experience with the software already just in case there was an obviouls big red stop sign I was missing. Looks like I have other plans this weekend then playing more Stanfield or Baluder’s Gate 3. Thanks for the help and info.
Glad I could help.
