Heh you described my problem exactly. Waylaid did get busted in my attempt to get it working again. I was hoping that given the kernel update broke nvidia they would push a fixing update.
Tbh. I have been experimenting for a while to sid what I need to keep win for and am happy enough to make linux my big partition now. Given the nvidia drivers issue on the new kernel im tempted to look elsewhere
I had to roll back my kernel when deb flung out the last one due to drivers. They updated them yet as I haven’t noticed them in updates

I’m not overly fussed about upgrading windows any further for this reason but I do remember seeing deb have a similar solution for the bootloader bug it’s addressing with the warning in the release notes it spooked me
I have been avoiding a deb upgrade to 12 1 because of this. However you have me wondering if I’m overly paranoid as my installs while on the same bootloader are on different drives

As someone who worked on designing racks in the super computer space about 10 q5vyrs ago I had no clue windows and mac even tried to entered the space
It’s not even that. I have zero interest in multilayer games even less so “seasonal” games. Basically all the stuff AAA says is dead I like and all the stuff they say I should like I dislike
