I’m so sorry you rely on adobe products, that’s horrible
Gnome 100%. I personally like gnome for mouse and keyboard use but it’s really a no brainer for touch screen use.
Fedora is the best!
(In my opinion)
Maybe invest in an external drive you can copy important files to. Dual booting is usually issue free but it’s always possible to have data loss in general. Data loss, especially data that is personally important to you is a tragedy.
I started with Zoro which is a windows look alike, tried mint and a few other distros but ultimately landed on Fedora.
Fedora has been great and I haven’t been tempted to leave since trying it out a few years ago.
Gabe will have a good successor. Valve has a lot of talented and passionate employees that have been with the company since near the start.
I want to use jellyfin but the android TV app is bad and that’s the only place I use it
Uh aren’t they replacing the “Activities button” not the application button? Also the super key exists, so the application is redundant and disabled in my setup.
“This program is spyware because it collects huge amounts of user information, including but not limited to your Home Address, Telephone Number, Credit Card Number, and Internet Search History. Steam also profiles your hardware, communications through Steam’s social networking features, and contains a mandatory self-updater. Steam will not work without an internet connection.”
Seems like they need to collect your address, telephone, and credit card number to process payments? Steam is it’s own internet browser, so the browser data it collects is from itself, not your personal browser.
You seem paranoid and this website seems to be incorrect or purposely stating things in a misleading way, oh and steam does work without and Internet connection
That’s so odd, maybe there is an issue with your specific distribution.
Well the disabled people getting this implant probably don’t care about musk, it’s legitimately a cool technology and good competition for the medical space.
Musk is a cuck still, and I’m sure we’ll have to wait a couple generations before we get the dystopian stuff in Neurallink
100000000%, beyond the fact that I don’t want to pay a thousand different subscriptions, I also much prefer having everything in jellyfin or Plex. I don’t want to mess around with all these crappy streaming apps, each with their own set of limited functionality or handicaps.
Also, why would I want to watch low bitrate streams when I can get full quality Blu-ray rips. Hopefully someday streaming platforms will offer full bitrate video, as physical media will probably go away over time.
Home assistant isn’t only for automations! I just use it as the smart hub for my house in general. I control all my lights and other smart home devices through the home assistant dashboard, it’s just like having one centralized app instead of many individual apps for every smart home device.
I use the esphome intergration to make my own diy smart home devices, and so much more.
Really if you have any interest in a “smart home” or using any smart home products on a reoccurring bases I’d say home assistant is worth getting into.
Right, I’m not a creative professional but the occasions I need tools adobe provides there are plenty of open source alternatives I use instead.
Sadly most people won’t care about what adobe is doing, but I can only hope they continue to shoot themselves in the foot. I yearn for the day when they aren’t the dominant player in the space, maybe in 15 years.
