I’ve used trillium before. it was my main note taking app for a long while. It’s a great app. Right out of the box, it has full markdown and whatever.

i can’t read that. it just appears as stars to me. what’s it say?
to whom?? TO WHOM!?
they have a free tier, but it’s very limited. As an aside, most of my shit comes from drunkenslug because it’s so great of a search website for usenet.
haha. it’s something I could see Linus doing, tbh. So I wasn’t sure. Thanks.
is… is that real?
I think google bought chromium, but I’m not 100% sure.
that’s how google wants it. If people think chromium does’nt have any google in it, they’ll use it thinking they’re giving the thumbs down to google
the site i mostly use is kbin and other open source/privacy respecting sties, and I doubt ernest would implement WEI on this site. Any other sites, I can do without. they don’t want my viewing? fuck them.
that’s what i call a sexy website
I use waterfox currently. If this takes off, I will browser shop until I find a browser that doesn’t implement it. If i come across any sites that don’t work, well, I just won’t use their sites anymore.
I’m not from the USA either, but i still wrote them. They’re a US company that is essentially controlling the internet as we know it. They need to be stopped.
Hmm. It’s a sad sad world we live in. Governments trying to put in backdoors that only the good guys can use (HA!). Conglomerates controllibg the internet. WEI. It’s a sad world. I miss the 90s internet :(
I suggest using invidious if you’re gonna use YouTube
Bascially, at its core, it allows websites to attest that the website shown in the browser is the one given by the server. In principle, this could be a good thing, but in reality, it’s a very very very very very bad thing. Ad blockers will stop working. Accessiblity tools will stop working. At its worst, it will be a requirement to use a website that you only use appoved software and hardware. That means, only chrome, on windows for example. This is a very bad thing. It spells the end for FOSS. Firefox will be as good as dead. I don’t think I’m doomsaying here. I believe this is what will happen.
eh, I have a jellyfin server with family using it, and it works pretty well for my usecase.
