Which doesn’t solve the problem for either me or the person who asked the question, yes I know better than to get a Samsung now, but I plan on keeping my phone for as long as I can regardless
Saying something we already know doesn’t help anybody

“Buy a different phone” is not an option for everybody
Probably go to explainxkcd.com
I haven’t tried ALVR in over a year, but last time I tried it it had some major issues, good to see someone report that it’s working well for them, I look forward to trying it again when I can
Oh please, the franchise is just getting started, wake me when it reaches 404
Iirc I can browse folders in jellyfin for videos not for audio, I have no idea why they are different but they are
My issue with using jellyfin for audio probably isn’t fixable by any external app, I need to be able to use the folder structure, with some content it’s the only reasonable way to sort it
Until then I’ll still be using plexamp for my audiodramas
Minetest needs a more active community, one where people talk about mod combinations that they’ve played with and enjoyed. With Minecraft I can find tons of modpacks and people talking about them on places like youtube and reddit, it makes it a lot easier to pick things to play
But NVidia isn’t a barrier for wayland anymore.
I’ve heard that before recently, but tbth I really don’t want to mess with my system rn (barring updates), it mostly acts as a server lately sense I got my SteamDeck and that’s probably how it’s gonna stay as I really want to avoid accidentally breaking anything for the time being
When I get my batch 2 framework order I’m going to be a lot more willing to learn adout and experiment with Wayland, just becouse I know whatever I do on that it won’t interrupt what other people are doing who are connect to the aformentioned server on my older machine
Will I upgrade my other computer to Wayland? Maybe eventually after I’ve learned more about it and played with it some, but for the time being it’s just gonna stay as it is
I’ve heard that there is one, and I understand the reasons to let programs decide the icon, but what’s the controversy? What makes people think it’s a bad idea?
Becouse I’m still on nvidia, when I get the framework 16" soon tm it’s getting Wayland
It’s a Fedora based distro by glorious eggroll, the person who maintains things like GE-Proton the fork of valves proton that sometimes has important fixes that make some games work that otherwise don’t
Tbh though sense I posted that I’ve been going back and forth in my head about weather I should use that on the framework when I get it, or instead use bazzite (another fedora gaming fork)
Until it can run my banking app it’s unfortunately not a contender, no matter how much I want it
I swear the Deck’s announcement was perfectly timed, at least for me. It was right as I was having major problems with windows and even then proton kinda just worked for me, and it’s only gotten better sense!
NVIDIA getting its shit together maybe?
That truly would be the year of the linux desktop
Bottom right, that being said though I would only stick with it for 1.5 seconds before switching to something else
Oh hey, same here! I’ve always been pretty poor so open source programs were the easiest way to do a lot of things
And can I just say, GIMP opens way faster in linux it really took me by supprise the first time
I’m still hoping that one day I’ll be able to unlock my galaxy note 20 ultra
They are making jokes about file types, .exe doesn’t work in windows without a translation layer, such as wine, whereas .sh is a scripting file type
