I have Ghost in the Shell S.A.C on Plex and I’ve never watched their version but it sure as shit showed up in my “continue watching”. The same thing happened when my gf was watching Midsomer Murders.

I remember when I was trying to learn android development kid and android 5 was just released and all the tutorials that existed were basically immediately deprecated. God what a frustrating time.
We learned node in class and I learned angularjs in my free time because it was the new shiny thing lol. Went to pick it up 2 years later, come to find out EVERYTHING I learned was deprecated.
THAT’S WHATS DRAINING MY BATTERY! I’ve been trying to figure it out, I knew it was draining quicker because of that but never really our two and two together

It’s about the only way I’ve found real jobs these days. It’s absolutely abysmal out there.
When I installed pop! Os (on my ssd) it was laggy and a little glitchy, it’s like the whole os would just freeze up sometimes. It really got on my nerves. I prefer nobara, it’s so snappy and fast, everything just feels better than windows, and it’s way more customizable. But there is definitely a higher learning curve and some small weird glitches you have to deal with so I wouldn’t recommend it to someone without intermediate knowledge

I mean they’ve got a gun so I’d imagine so
I once submitted an issue to a devs GitHub. The apps login page would not load without large bg pictures loading first. I asked if he could add an option to disable it in the settings, as my self hosted site was slow.
I essentially got back, “why would I do that? It’s not an issue for me! Besides the login page should load before the background picture” issue closed
😑😑😑😑
It’s like you’re SO CLOSE to seeing the issue.

candyman337@sh.itjust.worksto Programming@programming.dev•What are the craziest misconceptions you’ve heard about programming from people not familiar with it?2·1 year agoNo, one part of the fix would be an access policy limited to their network or via VPN. Security is part IT and part dev
candyman337@sh.itjust.worksto Programming@programming.dev•What are the craziest misconceptions you’ve heard about programming from people not familiar with it?22·1 year agoThe speed at which it takes to make something. We had a vulnerability with a JavaScript library in an old app that I do minimal support on, I said that it only uses like 3 or 4 libraries, so depending on what it is the whole frontend may need to be re-written. IT: “Ok well we have to get that expensed.” Sure bro let me just bill the client that is paying for it and error support 20k for new dev time. Nah, the fix is gonna have to be a workaround on your end, we do not have the bandwidth and they don’t have the capital.

candyman337@sh.itjust.worksto Android@lemdro.id•Discussion: Is Android going in the right direction?English3·2 years agoMy opinion is that they need to leave it tf alone for the most part and just do updates and good features. Let phone makers do with it what they want.
They’re now two people who will love two different lives, they will naturally begin to diverge
I use the built in wireguard VPN in my router. If you just need local network access elsewhere it’s usually really easy to setup if your router provides it. I would look into it!
