I find the references to file extension kinda confusing. Extensions mean a lot less in Linux cli, but I can tell youre just using them for examples. Maybe give more concrete examples instead.

What do you mean about “/ root directory, eg /usr/bin/bash”? / is /, just the top-most directory
I’ve never in my life seen an ad in Gmail mobile app in-line as though it were something in your inbox. I get really frustrated at the indignance over “ad company does ads and you’re mad” as if there’s not a difference when things get escalated.

Honestly, for how rarely I share videos, I typically just upload them to YouTube unlisted. It’s wild how bad Google photos is for video sharing. Doubly bad for Google chat.
Can Synology nas with transcoding handle 4k content? I’ve been using my old desktop for ages to handle Plex, but the CPU is too old to handle live transcoding of 4k
