While there is truth to that, it’s nice distro-hopping was a solution for me. Can’t really solve your windows problems that way.

lol sure. When I installed a new GPU while using mint, it never booted again. Even years later when I assumed they would finally have support for the card, same story. Had to move to Ubuntu instead

So that’s why people like C-style return types. That actually makes a lot of sense. I do too now.
Sure, me too, but that’s my point. Even Java is better than what we have now, especially from the user’s perspective.
I apologize for bashing Java so hard in the past. I wish everyone wrote everything in Java these days. Digital life would be so much better.

I was gonna object to having the OS be on week 9 but then I noticed almost all of these are just webapps. Weird times
Jesus Christ, Steam at 1.4 GB and you are expected to run that WHILE PLAYING GAMES? That made my eyes pop outta my head.

3.20% is practically nothing but everyone in here is foaming at the mouth like this means windows is done or something. very weird behavior
Why does anything need to be erased? Why not simply overwrite as needed?

Sounds like maybe webapps are a bad idea then.
If they need dynamism, how about releasing a desktop application?

They rely on AutoHotkey.
It’s true, Linux doesn’t have anything close to AHK.

I really don’t get why you wouldn’t just use mint coming from windows. who is making these recs? I only hear “mint! mint!” in my circles
those colons piss me off so much. they are so useless. I hate them

Existing for 60 years makes software a hundred times more secure than the borrow checker

maybe I’ve been living under a rock but I don’t get all this emphasis on hosting. What’s wrong with having a file on your device that you just play when you want to

Maybe 5 years ago. Not anymore.

Continue not using a phone as always

Is it? It still works while so-called newer/better technology goes to the landfill within years.
If you’re counting me in that, mint stopped booting when I switched from nvidia to amd
