There are merits to using flatpaks. With flatseal application, you can fine-tune the permissions given to a certain flatpak application. The best thing is restricting internet usage.

But I don’t use their save article functionality. All I do is to use it as a bookmark manager. In that sense its a little bloated for me. Would like to try some other, please recommended.
While you are at it, solve world hunger too…

Also check https://linux-hardware.org/?view=computers&type=notebook&vendor=Lenovo
In the same vain that Peertube is an ope-source version of YouTube.
You can try Endeavour OS. Its pretty close to stock. I found cachyos was too bloated for my likings and ffmpeg ran faster on EOS than COS in my case.
Thank you. Was out of the loop with ff for a while.
I have ff installed but uses librewolf for most uses. Should I be worried if ff is in my system? Somebody please explain.

cmgvd3lw@discuss.tchncs.deto Selfhosted@lemmy.world•Advantages of rootless podman?English312·4 months agoOne of the main advantage of podman is that, it respects the firewall rules. Docker don’t do that. Also having rootless podman means if somehow the container went rogue, it cannot have access to your root directory and perform malicious actions.
Also podman is a drop in replacement for docker. It does not need much configurations to setup. If you need compose, you might need to install podman-compose as well.
I envy you so much
You can do that from the save as dialogue box.
