The last few weeks I’ve had a similar problem and I can’t find a solution. Same installation of manjaro for around 7 years. I made no system setting changes. All I do is update the system with the package manager. When I check some systemd logs or dmesg it all looks normal except from wake it mentions something about an unresponsive disk, but it always works fine after the second wake or if I just shut it down and then boot it up. It’s only a problem from suspend to wake. I can type in my password and log in but it pretty much seems after 10 seconds it suspends itself again for the first time.

Good luck on that job search.

I can’t remember if it was BG3 or another game I played recently, but I remember the Linux version sucked and I used the windows version and proton instead and it was way better.

Weird I played it on my deck. I don’t have that many hours into it though.
I put dozens of hours into the Witcher 3 running it at 3880x1440 on a 2070 super.
So I did all this on the game of the year edition with a graphics patch/mod.
Cdpr released the remaster which, in my opinion, looks about the same. But it performed like total ass.
You can download and run the old version and throw on the graphics patches. I lost significant amounts of frames with the cdpr remaster vs base game with mod

I sync to TrueNAS scale with photosync and then I sync scale with back blaze b2

Sun thing for me was absolutely terrible. If I recall correctly, huge pain in the ass because I vlan off my wifi and had to mess with policies for discovery. I found the app would often freeze and lock up, glitch, etc. And this was on two different phones.

I thought with this for years. It’s unreliable and buggy on Android and iPhone. I caved and paid for some photo sync app and it’s been super stable.
That or folder sync on Android. Then feed into immich or photosphere.
I spent many nights running diff and comparing sources and destinations and md5sums and so on
Agree, but this is why I do both. Sometimes I listen to my local stuff and having a great time because it’s more refined

I didn’t read your entire post (sorry it was long 😅) but have you heard of lorawan? It’s a low powered long distance mesh network technology. I believe that’s what the helium project uses.

Never. Same with GPUs. AI destroyed jobs, the gaming market, and customer service

Yup. Bs headline.

Have the lifetime since like 2012, every time a post like this surfaces I wonder if the contents of it are finally going to force my hand to use jellyfin instead

Ok. I’ll continue to play Elden ring, assassin’s creed, hollow knight silk song, and all these other great games. There are so many good games to play, I’m good to skip rust.

Definitely. I use home assistant but I found a lot of things require enabling integrations with other platforms. They’re bricks if that platform decides they are.

This is why IoT isn’t sustainable. If you don’t have total control you’re fucked.

What about Hanna Montana Linux?

Also, if they made it so you could swap lithium packs that would be a better option than AA batteries.
Now this is a good idea.
