  • If you want to skip wiring all together, pick up two Aurora Dimmers and put Hue bulbs in all your sockets. It’s not the cheapest or most privacy friendly if you’re using their hub. But going this way, you can put the dimmer near the fixture you want to control, you have no wiring whatsoever, connection to HA, and you’re completely up and running inside of 30 minutes.





  • There are general purpose repos and specific app repos. Those for specific apps might allow you to download apps not found elsewhere or they might just get you the update a little faster.

    I have the repos for Collabora and Newpipe enabled on mine for those reasons.

    You might also look at Obtanium if you’re looking to keep specific apps updated.

    Not everything we used to root our devices for needed root access… It was just a convenient way to accomplish it.

    Shizuku does what it does through System APIs and ADB Shell. Because it’s not relying on any sort of exploit but leveraging ADB existing APIs, it’s unlikely that Google would block it.

    I am am far from an expert, so if I get something wrong, I’m sure the sages of the internet will correct me with grace and understanding.
