I disagree. I think there’s a lot of people living in a fantasy. Things cost money. You can’t rely on good will to pay for developers, engineers, and hardware.
Maybe ads aren’t the way to go but you’re not being realistic if you want this place to grow without some kind of funding.

i think the idea is that when there is a gap, there is more likelihood for little things to get in there in your pocket and scratch things up. also, the gapless design doesnt mean it is usually screen directly on screen, but the outside border touch and close fully allowing no dirt to get in
yep. have it on the fold. its not perfect but its pretty good!
so i havent had many apps that didnt play nice. but i dont use too many apps like instagram or anything. the worse culprit ive had is tik tok but then all you need to do is rotate the screen and it mostly solves that issue
So to be honest a lot of it might stem from the fact that I was on Samsung software for so long I was getting kind of annoyed at all the little glitches and hiccups. In a very cohesive environment and especially having this kind of fold software it always felt like a beta thing.
Or with the pixel feels like there’s much more of a enhanced almost iPhone like experience with the full. I can grant that there is less maybe functionality in terms of multitasking and stuff but I really use those features so rarely that I don’t miss them
Dad and coupled with the front form factor that’s so much better for me and that I can actually take really nice photos and have all the nice little pixel features, its a no brainer for me
There really isn’t that many sacrifices. I mean I’m not defending the cost but it’s not like a crippled device compared to anything else.
I mean to be fair… You are paying for basically two phones or one phone and a tablet.
I remember smartphone days of old when you could buy additional battery packs, extended ones and huge lemon ones or something that would give you like 10,000 milliamp hours. Good times!
Sync was amazing for my foldable. A regular for when it is folded and then a specific foldable view when it is unfolded

It’s everything I need in a foldable with the sweet sweet software from Pixel.
Only thing that sucks is the cost. Definitely for the enthusiast
from everything ive seen it looks fine. i just dont see it getting the market share it needs to stay afloat. if titans like HTC and others couldnt do it with much more innovative tech at the time, i dont see the little light thing to take up anything of value. at least not in the US market.
It’s a neat phone and I’m glad we have options… But I don’t see the hype. The gimmicks are nice but does it give anything that you don’t get with arguably better options in Samsung and Pixel?
Yea I gave the z fold from 2 to 4 and the separate home screens didn’t really do anything for me. Having it combined now and in a smart way is what I like more.
Downloaded on pixel fold. Pretty stable and smooth. Only issue is this weird bar right below the status bar on some apps
Same here. I was actually pretty okay with just going with Netflix and then maybe HBO. But then every one of their mothers has their own streaming service.
Back to the salty seas for me
