Fairly sure that in that case it would actually be more cost effective to just rewrite the application.

I’m actually not that shocked. Corporations make weird corporate decisions all the time because they feel as if they’re getting the more professional version or something. They tend to view open source projects as either unprofessional or in some complicated way, actually illegal. Like it’ll turn out that open source isn’t allowed after all.
This is what happens when lawyers who don’t actually know what they’re talking about make recommendations. They don’t know, so they always advise caution. Also they genuinely don’t seem to know the difference between pirated software and open source.
On UK keyboards the £

replaces

Double quotation marks "
are in the same place though so a lot of british programmers don’t use single quotation marks because they are hard to press. If your touch typing you have to reach all the way to the bottom right with your right hand little finger and it’s just not worth it.
I’m assuming it’s like the Nintendo switch USBC lead which technically is standard but doesn’t really work to charge anything else. but at least you can use normal USBC leads to charge the switch so it’s not too bad.
Wouldn’t you just use a cheap lithium ion battery I’m not sure why you go for a lead acid.
What’s interesting is they have made some edits to the design, hilariously leaving in all of the paper towns stuff, but the edits make it look worse. Why did they do that.
It’s open source, anyone can fork the repo any time they want. The original devs won’t like it but also there is bugger all they can do about it. It’s just that it would be a full time job to take on and no one has the time.
I have the disc as well but I just lack a disc drive. I also have the original Doom on floppy disk, which I guess I’ve had since I was a kid.
And the first Sims game as well.
I guess they figured that if it works for Bethesda it’ll work for them.
I think what sort of confusion is the frame rates really inconsistent. I dropped all my settings to low and it looked terrible and then I fiddled with them and changed some of them back to high and it looks fantastic and essentially there’s no difference in frame rate.
I’m actually really struggling to figure out what it is that’s actually causing the frame issues. Apparently a big chunk of it is vsync, which I don’t understand.
That’s single threaded though isn’t it. Maybe an infinite number of that thread but it’s still technically only one thread.
Like most people I don’t really know what a quantum computer is
Right but your arguement of “well turn it off then” doesn’t work. Because people need it to be on because they use it, because it’s a useful technology.
I wonder if I could get work to buy me one and claim that I’ll use it for pen testing.
My coworkers would 100% definitely plug it in if they saw it lying around just to see what it was. They’re real bad.
I think maybe the issue is the game targets 60 FPS which isn’t really possible on anything other than high-end enthusiast cards.
What I don’t get is why it tanks performance. I’m wondering if they are dynamically building the textures in memory in real time rather than relying on LODs.
I really don’t get what dynamic resolution is supposed to do because it just looks terrible and makes the game laggy.
The main menu is really weirdly laggy. I can actually get better performance in game than in the menu which is odd.
I think the problem is that any performance optimisations you do don’t actually apply to the menu until you restart.
It’s a lot better on an SSD. For some reason it seems to actually load stuff from the hard drive so having fast read speed seems to help.
But sincerely wish I could enable vsync it’s a jagged mess otherwise.
For me it just have too many bugs that aren’t being fixed.
Nothing major, just little annoying things like if you edit a comment it closes out of the thread. Or if you make a comment it scrolls to the top of the thread. Why?
I’ve just tested it and boost doesn’t do either of those things.
What do you bet they have an actually figured that part out yet and were just hoping no one would ask, and then that they’d magically be able to come up with something.
People complain about Java being weird all the time. The reason people complain about it is because they use it all the time and things about it annoy them.
Pretty much everyone who uses any programming language has stuff they don’t like about it and we’ll complain about it from time to time. A lot of this stuff never really gets fixed, because updating languages is problematic, see
