I use a few MA apps, none of which have declared the internet permission. Nor would I ever want them to have internet access.

But a few MA apps actually do require internet to work for their intended purpose, and I will never install one of those out of fear all the MA apps “secretly” talk/share/IPC my data with eachother, effectively granting all the non-internet apps the internet permission.

I’m not saying this is happening. But I’m also not about to delve into the entire codebase to find out.

I’ve always used Server Superstore, the prices are decent and never had an issue with any unit.

I think showing tracker info is still a good, insightful thing. Sure, giving an impression one piece of software is better than another because it has less trackers is a bad thing. Users that care about functionality will vet apps on that regard, same with security and privacy conscious users. Some users just like the app to be pretty, and if they ignore everything else but make a decision based in tracker count, all the better in the long run.

Been using zfs and btrfs for so long I forgot ext4 was a thing. Oh my.

The Zoop website lists a bunch of forked projects. But the site owner also claims that they made all of them… sooo…

I removed it a year ago for this same reason. Love the extension, hate the seemingly unjustifiable CPU usage.
