Using LLMs to write code was never about making it easier. Its only about making it faster. All product teams only care about how fast you can get a product to market. Even before LLMs, that’s all they cared about. That’s why we have to sit through excruciating meetings playing planning poker, only to constantly remind them that two story points does not mean two days.

Exactly. I do the same thing.

I even put bazzite with KDE on my mothers computer because she started complaining about windows being slow and seeing ads on her start menu. My mother isn’t very tech saavy, but bazzite was perfect for her use case and it just works. So far no complaints at all in about 6 months.

I don’t agree with this at all. syntax highlighting is more useful when looking at small chunks of code. I only need to know the difference between the two words next to each other, or if I properly closed a string definition.

I wouldn’t vehemently disagree with this so much if the article didn’t make so many assumptions, and was in a more conversational tone. “Getting it wrong” sounds pompous, but if you just talked about how YOU used syntax highlighting, I wouldn’t care so much
