One click hosters are pretty popular in Germany, so you will find lots of German stuff hosted one one of these. The most popular ones right now are rapidgator and ddownload. You will need special websites and forums for finding the links, though.

CAPITALIZED video titles REALLY don’t make me want to ACTUALLY OPEN the link.
Netflix, Reddit, Twitter, YouTube, Google…
The enshittification is going full steam ahead.
That’s the exact point. It’s not only that you can’t google shit, even within Discord itself it’s incredibly hard to find the relevant information. BTW, did I already say that I fucking hate Discord?
I fucking hate Discord. It’s a walled garden. You need an account to see the content and you can’t google shit. It might be great for real time communication, but I can’t grasp how its usage has evolved beyond any of that.
What a read, wow. Thanks for sharing!
The best thing is that you can turn off the screen, so you can truly use it as a music player.
Empress is neither a hacker nor a white hat, lol
I don’t know man. I still don’t understand how Discord became so popular in the first place and I will never ever understand how some people are fine with Discord being their only online presence or way of interaction (I’m looking at you, midjourney!) It’s a walled garden with a fucking horrible UI and UX. Just look at the screenshot in the article:
What a steaming pile of dog poop, lol
So it’s like game streaming with Geforce Game Streaming and Moonlight?
But like others already said: Reconsider that name…
Cool thing, thanks for the info! BTW, make sure to check out EmulationOnAndroid@lemmy.world! I created it with my account there that goes by the same name.
Native is always better :) But I will make sure to check out box64! I only heard about Exagear up until now, which is apparently a pretty fiddly affair and also out of support.
Far Cry 1 on Android when?
Why the fuck is Discord being forced down my throat when I want to use openart.ai or midjourney?
Do you live in a country where the authorities are taking action against torrenting? Yes, you should absolutely be using a VPN, because otherwise you’re presenting your identity on a silver platter.
Do you live in a country where the authorities don’t give a fuck? Then no, a VPN won’t be necessary.
There is no evidence of any commerical VPN provider ever responding to a copyright notice.
Because doing so would put them out of business faster than you can say “fuck Spez”.
Then it should be the responsibility of the EU people to avoid joining the fediverse.
The instances are providing their services in the EU, so it’s legally up to them to comply with the GDPR.
From your perspective, what should be the way out?
Honestly, no idea. I’m not even sure if Lemmy in its current shape violates the GDPR in the first place, but if I were the admin of a large feddit instance in the EU I would make sure to get advise from a GDPR consultant.
This whole thread is full of interpretations and gut feelings. Literally no one here backs up their claims with any kind of evidence.
Yes. I just didn’t feel too comfortable posting these links here ;)
