My first choice would be a Framework, second choice System76.

A second hand NUC off eBay
I’m a big Pop!_OS fan. Based on Ubuntu so great for following guides and comparability. But no Snap, Flatpak is installed, the OS looks fantastic and runs smooth and gaming on it has been great.
It’s so underrated but it’s my favourite OS.
Lemmy.world sucks, it’s constantly down and they block communities people want to federate with, and leave communities federated people want blocked.
There’s a download link on the website. Discord isn’t needed.
Past two phones I’ve had (Galaxy Z fold 3 and OnePlus 7 Pro) I’ve had the option for gestures or buttons.
I always pick gestures, I get more screen real estate and the gestures feel good and intuitive.
If you don’t like them, change it, that’s the benefit of Android, you can do what you want.
It gets the number that’s ringing and compares it to a database it downloaded. It’s not doing anything with your sensitive data.
At most if you decide to check online reviews against a number it’ll search the phone number online, but you get a warning beforehand and you don’t have to do that.
So you can end all phone calls like this
Firestick 4K is a cheap yet beasty device, and being Android you can install third party apps easily.
Plex/JellyFin, Kodi, Stremio. No need to spend so much on an AppleTV when the firestick is more than enough.
Also apps like SmartTubeNext and SoundTV.
100% on Samsung Browser with AdGuard extension, and AdGuard Home as my DNS Adblocker.
I moved from Ubuntu to Pop!_OS.
It feels miles ahead, it feels so clean and polished and looks great, flatpaks enabled instead of snap. Go Pop
I email ePubs to my kindle, I’m told Amazon automatically converts them, I’ve had 0 issues.
But calibre can convert them anyway.
Discord doesn’t care about privacy, if you do then Discord isn’t the service for you. You could use a burner number, or host your web VoIP server where you don’t need to worry about your privacy.
Kbin uses a different API, we won’t be seeing Kbin apps for a while.
Same reason I don’t donate to Wikipedia. They act like they’re running on fumes but in reality they have money.
Time to update!
They appear like this for me
Yeah there’s an empty box in my feed occasionally too, I did mention that in another comment. But it’s better than seeing an actual ad.
I do hope the Dev changes his mind on a subscription, I’d much rather a single purchase like I did Sync for Reddit.
Same, I run AdGuard Home. No ads for me.
No, but it’s easy to install a custom launcher. I changed it and had 0 problems.
