Cool, thanks for sharing!
I vaguely remember a js based tool that, instead of a series of slides, gave a massive canvas where going to next slide was moving the viewport into a new location on the canvas. Doe that ring a bell to anyone?

Jolla gives the best out of box experience.
I met Kate back in 2003 or so, immediately fell in love, and still use it (no longer my primary code editor, but primary for everything else.)
First step is to figure out if you have hard requirements i.e. specific software that you rely on your studies or work and cannot be replaced.
If there is no such requirements, or your requirements have Linux versions, best thing to do is do the jump and accept the struggle until you figure out the new way of working. A lot of games run fantastic. Heroic Launcher for GoG and Epic games, Steam for Steam.
You need to edit a video, just search for “Linux video editor”, same for whatever task you want to achieve.
Highest I’ve seen was 6 layers. Hats off to your team.
Come on, he uses Home Premium.

That’s pretty much how cults work. If they even heard about Linux, it’s something with no games, no “productivity”, no drivers, maybe even CLI-only hacker stuff.

If this wqs anything other than choice of tools, we’d call it a cult.

Hurr durr something something drivers, something something recompile the kernel, something something only if your time is worthless.

It has been for me since 2004. But yeah 2026 too.
Haha, wow
This is the view from Belgium indeed.

Nah, I was just feeling extra lonely this year and created some extra traffic.
You are contradicting yourself. If writing bullshit and making things worse gets you a better career position
You want a promotion? Make something cool, improve something while using approaches that will show that you deserve a higher position and, therefore, a bigger salary
Is not the rule of the game. Sell your story to your superiors is the rule of the game, that’s the real metric, the the thing that really matters.
Thanks.
