Ok, honestly, this does look perfect. Thanks a lot for the specific recommendation. I’ll leave this post up for a bit in case someone comes up with something better. I’m willing to build one, but for the budget and features I need this seems ideal.

Thanks a ton for the links! Plastic frames are fine for me since, I don’t intend to twist or bend a keyboard ever. I’ll look into this.
Editing to add: Keychron seems to be completely sold out of 100% boards. That’s disappointing :( Edit on top of the edit: The site just doesn’t work well with my browser. I have to search for the model individually.
Thanks. The replaceable switches could mean a lot. At the least, I could try to resell the ones I don’t like.
I’m stuck on a desktop condenser mic and don’t have a boom, so that really factors in. I should have added that to the post. That means that not only the clack of the keys is important, but also the vibration they may cause. Modern noise filters can do a lot, but I’m not sure if they can do that much. I’ll check out keychron stuff - thanks!
I mean sure, that would be great, but I don’t have that.
It is an issue for me because the only machine I have is my daily driver laptop, and I’d really rather not take up even that 35GB if it can be helped.
OK, this bot is very useful. Thanks to … whoever.
You are quite right in that it is not a cheap VMS. Since I don’t know 100% how to set thing up, though, the cost might be worth my time.
I may just pay for it and report back as a service to the community.
Ok, but I’ve only a remote idea of what you’re saying. Can you elaborate?
Thanks, I’ll look into this stuff.
I’ve been waiting for the free Oracle cloud to open up (I know that’s super rare). Is there a goof VPS you can recommend?
Yeah, that’s partially why I’d need info as to if this Lemmy host is legit. I have the domain (technically), and if the price jumps I’d be ok with that. I paid upfront for a couple years at $1/yr. Yeah, the registrar might screw me over, but at the price I’ve paid, there’s not a lot of risk. I really need feedback on the Lemmy host.
He was so distressed by its unforeseen success.
Granted, she did use it with deadly efficiency. I think that one backfired on them.
Java cards certainly did.
I mean, this could be useful, but I need a much higher level of understanding. When I was a dev, all we used was basically version control. There was no concept of commit, pulls, etc. I’m having to understand this from a standpoint of no understanding whatsoever. For most devs, they’ve done this for at least a decade with Git. Git is so much more complicated than a simple version control. I understand why it’s necessary for large teams, but I still see it lke this:

This is great. I’m going to try it out.
No, we didn’t use that. I did both front end and back end in a sense. I developed the web UI for the customers and managed the PHP and SQL back end since it was purely a web interface. Yeah, yeah, I know that’s not true back end but that’s where we were at that point.
I have boom stands from just casually having a full PA system, but this mic isn’t really compatible. I’m now thinking of fabricating some kind of bracket that will hold it 🤔
