And maybe short of very limited production runs there haven’t been any 78s produced in a long time. All of that work should be in the public domain.
It’s still one of the best streaming devices on the market. Yes they need to update it but it’s fine to buy one now.
That’s because no one wants a decade old concept, the currier, that was only released to compete with actual folding phones.

My mom went through 2 flip 3s. The first would shut off when she closed the phone. And the second she dropped it on the hinge and the screen broke a little bit later. My fold 3 had no problem at all other than it wouldn’t open all the way, a mix of dirt in the hinge and maybe the hinge getting misaligned from drops.
only kept my monitor box in case i need to move. first world problems of owning a super ultrawide.
on a phone for me its not a useful feature. i notice it mainly when scrolling. meh. its fine on 60hz imho. maybe if i did more gaming on me phone or whatever id care more but just watching videos and browsing the web its fine.
afaik both the t-mobile/starlink deal and the apple version of this are equilivent of 3g. So likely you’re not gonna want to browse the internet or anything. But if you’re a sailor at sea this could be a great way to be able to text. Or if you’re in am emergancy you’ll be able to call for help.
its part of why i didnt feel having an end date was a bad idea. we werent trying to destroy the site, but to help make reddit better. instead we got shown plenty of reasons why leaving is the best policy.
theyve been my go to for routers for over a decade. they just work 99+% of the time for me. hopefully they turn it around. if not its another company that drove itself into the ground.
