Also on Tumblr @nick-nonya
i don’t see this and the app is updated :'3
nvm it’s still experimental for now
ye sorry but i ain’t installing an entirely different distro, that seems kinda extreme
i’ll see if my motherboard has any similar options
is there any way i can upgrade without having to reinstall from scratch?
i’m on 550.107.02, the ubuntu-drivers command shows there are two 550 drivers one with -open after it, is that what you’re talking about?
journalctl doesn’t seem to report any GPU specific errors. nvtop shows no oddities that i could find.
i found that dragging the preview image on the fps showcase videos in nvidea’s 4060 page makes firefox lag out with a glib-CRITICAL logged to the console. it says
(firefox:4349): GLib-CRITICAL **: 12:40:07.460: g_strv_length: assertion 'str_array != NULL' failed
[Parent 4349, Main Thread] WARNING: g_strv_length: assertion 'str_array != NULL' failed: 'glib warning', file /builds/worker/checkouts/gecko/toolkit/xre/nsSigHandlers.cpp:187
dunno if that has to do with anything tho
doubt it’s the same problem i’m having because the lag spikes only affect blender, the rest of the DE works fine
also have that lmao, yea it’s useful but it doesn’t come with a ui so no custom menus. ig i should just bite the bullet and learn bash to use with yad
autokey-gtk probably, it’s the one i already use
i was wondering if there was any program akin to autohotkey for linux, i found one that does text replacement and it’s fine but i really liked the stuff you could do with autohotkey, i had an entire popup menu of little tools on windows
[/j] that is not a question. banned, blocked, ICBM en route to your position
yea that is nice, although i imagine the preview is handled by the os
what does ios do?
why’s your head so small
neat! gonna try in in a vm first
i’d rather not hop distros entirely, the way in understand it desktop interfaces like cinnamon and plasma run on top of the actual OS, so it’s possible to swap them without having to reinstall. i could very well be wrong tho
i tried it but it was kinda janky for some reason, maybe i just don’t know how to properly config it
open an issue with github /s
this isn’t about that.
there’s a new experimental feature called user tags that allows you to set custom bits of text that only you see for any user and one of the options is to have it also keep a running tally of the total number of up/downvotes you’ve given that user, this is a voyager thing not a lemmy thing, so i can just manually edit the value of a user’s tally to whatever value i want including negative values.
for a normal user downvoting someone would both send the downvote and decrease the tally but since voyager won’t even let me downvote i can’t do that.
